As parents, we have a responsibility to equip our kids with an understanding of self-defense against those who are driven to violate and/or take them places from which they may never return. This subject of violation and abduction cannot be so frightening that we are stricken with passivity and intimidation. It is what it is, and unfortunately it is a part of our reality. It is time for us to get so offended by these actions that we stop allowing our children to fall subject to these horrific crimes because of a lack of knowledge.
