Children -- as imaginative and energetic as they may be -- are rarely prepared to protect themselves against those who are driven to violate and/or take them places from which they may never return. Even the simplest idea -- screaming aloud when danger presents itself -- can elude a child faced with imminent danger or being lured away through trickery. And it is not always a "stranger" doing the luring away.

Mother of three and Screamin' Kids founder Terri Marshall faced up to this possible scenario while watching yet another "missing child" report on television. Rejecting the passitivity and intimidation that such a potential threat can evoke, she set about training her children in self-protection, starting with the concept "scream on purpose" when confronted with a dangerous situation. It is precisely after this "scream on purpose" tactic that Screamin' Kids was named.

While we list a number of self-protection and self-defense tips online, our e-book goes far, far beyond.
